Malou Bürgi

Already as a child I was fascinated by remote countries and foreign cultures. In those times I travelled with my fingertips on the atlas and much fantasy around the globe. Many years later, after my graduation and completion of my apprenticeship I went to America where I lived and worked for six years. Since there is no remedy for "the travelbug", also after my return to Switzerland I kept on travelling. I visited countries like Marocco, Thailand and Canada, as well as the islands of Cape Verde and Maledives and naturally Europe. All was very interesting and beautiful.
However, the African nature, culture and zest for life impressed me the most. The mystic name Zanzibar teased my fantasy already a long time. So I decided in 2005 to visit the island and find out how much my imagination would correspond with the real life there. I was not disappointed at all.
