Project RIZIKI (school enrolment)
News: Abass (school enrolment 2010) died on 10. September 2011 when a ferry capsized off the coast of Zanzibar. He was only six years old. His sponsor, Suzanne Eggenberger decided to donate the school fee 2012 to his family.
Currently, new sponsorships are not possible.
Since 2010, our project "RIZIKI" enabled school enrolment and permanent education for more than 50 children. We decided to stop enrolment for the moment to attend to the already sponsored children and to follow their progress of education in a optimal way. Therefore, sponsorships for new school enrolments currently are not possible.
Although primary school is relatively low priced, there are many families which are not able to send all their children to school. That is significant especially to the girls, since parents tend to favour the boys in that case.
CHF 60 pay for a whole year of school for one child (school fees, exercise books and uniform).
The childs were selected by us in collaboration with the village executive committee, so especially families in real need will receive support. The sponsors got a photo and a short information about the future pupil.
